While re-reading an old article linked from Nan's recruiting page about Gabby Williams' trip to UConn and her decision to play basketball at Storrs, reference is made to Gabby's high jumping prowess. Here's the funny part:

"Williams is also a star high jumper, topping out at 6-feet, 2 ¼-inches last summer at the U.S. Olympic trials."

Phil, help me with this one - just how high is 6-feet, 2 Angstroms and 1/4 inch?

Obviously, eighteen billion, eight hundred fifty nine million, five hundred thousand and two Angstroms.

Heh

Don't see Angstroms coming up in wbb often. Pity.

From now on we should quote UConn player heights in Angstroms. It will make them seem ginormous and intimidate the opposition.:)

Å not Â. Or rather  not Å. Geez people.

Girl's got some hops though. :)

I'll speak up for the majority of Boneyarders: Just what in the hell is an Angstrom? DOH!

A unit of measure generally used in measuring the wavelength of light. It is .1 nanometer.

It is the proper unit of measure needed to calculate MoJeff movement on the court at any moment as she approaches the speed of light.

Geez people yourself, meyers7!

Go with the flow of the joke; don't wait 50 years for the next time a near-match typo for the symbol Å (Angstrom) appears in a Post article!
