Georgia has given us problems over the years, so this game makes me nervous. We had trouble putting them completely away in January. I think we will lose 1-2 more games, but we can't lose this one. We have precious few opportunities left for resume building wins.

MSU has looked like a hot mess at times ever since the SC game, a lot of really long periods of inept offense. No one is setting screens or cutting.

Terrible effort and no focus by MSU so far. J Danberry simply let the Georgia player take the rebound from her for a second chance bucket.

AEH gets beat off the dribble pretty badly.

Rickea is not shooting well but she is getting to the line and making things happen.

R Jackson is so much better driving to the rim instead of settling for elbow jumpers.

A Espinoza-Hunter is very noticeably less quick than the other guards and wings. Further X Wiggins is developing her perimeter shot. If that continues and M Hayes is as good as advertised then A Espinoza-Hunter is going to have to work even harder for minutes.

20 point lead for MSU with 5 mins left. Getting prissy, a lot of dumb fouls.

Glad we got the win. The offense doesn't look the prettiest at times, but they continue to win.

Miss St went through the motions the entire 4th quarter. Its like everyone wanted to go home.

State better be ready to try to box out and rebound verse Tennessee.

I’m curious as to how Tennessee will handle MSU’s press.

They will probably turn it over a lot as they have all year. They are pretty consistent when it comes to that.
Seriously, if they turned it over like 30 times against UConn, who isn't even particularly good at pressing and sure as heck isn't deep, just imagine what MSU's pressure and depth will do to them.

I was really surprised Dawn didn't press Tennessee yesterday. I guess she figured it wasn't necessary.
I noticed that too. Obviously what they were doing worked so I guess they were saving the press if it was needed in a subsequent game against the Volunteers.

I didn't think watching that game that Tennessee was ever going to score in the half court...felt like the possessions of trapping gave them a better chance to get buckets.

I mean when the opposing team is throwing the ball out of bounds passing it to an Open teammate like 3 feet from you, why should you right? lol

I think Tennessee will give Miss St some challenges rebounding the ball. Their size is an issue for every team, they usually defend well. I just don't think it bodes well for them playing an aggressive defense that like to press and speed you up all game. Maybe I'm wrong but I feel like Horston will score a double double Thursday, 12 points 10 turnovers. Miss St state wants to speed you up and make you make quick decisions. I just have not seen very good decision making from Tennessee all year on the offensive end. I have no reason to believe that all changes Thursday. Should be a fun one though. Miss St is really good but they are still youthful and it shows at times.
