Starts slow, but it builds and gets informative and entertaining. He's still pissed that Gabby was not unanimous in the voting last year - little snippet, but revealing. Naturally lots of Lou talk. You can tell there is a pretty good relationship between the two.

If Java has put this somewhere, or someone else has, then maybe this can be merged.

He sounds very high on the incoming class (at end of clip) . "They are both talented and competitors." :D:D

Surprised that was brought up as a question.

Thanks so much. Vintage Geno growing a bit contemplative in year thirty-three. Coincidentally, just finished watching the ‘95 NC.

At halftime Geno is asked if the terrible officiating and foul trouble and trailing by 6 means a different “approach “ in the 2nd half. Geno fires back “Not at all.”

No topknots, buns, or diapers. CBS didn’t clutter the screen with graphics...even the score was usually not up. Another era. And Dee Kantner’s worst UConn game of all time ; though the women’s tournament still only used two refs.

So interesting to hear him say ONO was miles ahead of the other posts in "compete level" in the U17 two years ago. The other posts included Janelle Bailey who has had a terrific freshmen year for North Carolina, and Charli Collier.

Or the both just refers to “talented” and “competitors”

I was paraphrasing since he spoke about each player separately. Should have used single quotes.

Did not realize that Geno actually watched this tournament in person though it was Chris Dailey only. There was so much going on sourrounding this tournamnet:
Sedona Prince was also in the post during that tournament and still considering UCONN at the time (July) she would later ( Sept.) recommit to Texas.
Ezi Magbegor of course was the tournament MVP and that would have been Geno's first sighting.
That tournament also briefly moved ONO to number 1 in the class but......
Charli Collier and Samantha B. were also on the team and played mostly a reserve roles & of course Collier would commit to UCONN (Nov) and change her mind 10 months later.
Maya Dotson still had UCONN in consideration played a good tournament and would later (Oct) commit to Stanford.
Aquira DeCosta was a pogo stick jumping, rebounding, layup missing machine.
Destanni Henderson had her moments as a scorer but left a lot of room for improvement as a floor general and facilitator.
Christyn Williams did not have an outstanding tournament but she ended up being 2nd on the team in scoring.
Jenna Brown went into the tournament a ND commit and repoened her recruiting for exactly 2 weeks after the tournament to eventually sign with Stanford meanwhile...
Jenna's teammate Abby Prohaska quick to recognize an opportunity with the new opening at ND verbally committed to ND in Nov.
Izabela Nicoletti played for Brazil during this tournament going into the tournament she was considered a top guard prospect. When Brazil played the US she was held in check going 0 for 9 on 3pt FG attempts a year later she would committ to FSU.

Thanks for the Info. Very Informative.

Good point...that could be "Geno speak". (I did not watch/listen to the entire clip, so I missed the question and do not know if the question was specifically about the two signed recruits.)
