Geno: win #1000 coming up....sooner than later!

Just a reminder: The Naismith HOF is sponsoring our game at Mohegan Sun
on December 19 against Oklahoma. IF we don't drop a game in the meantime Geno will
be going for win # 1000. Ticket sales are going well but there is availability.
Might be a special atmosphere....hey...perhaps Geno's Mom might bake a cake for the occasion?

Mohegan Sun tends to be very good to us.... another career highlight for the best coach in the land?

got tickets for my family. was holding my breath about the UCLA game. I'm not driving to Toronto for his 1000th! But sort of too bad it can't be at the XL on New Year's Eve day. That would have been rockin'

Geno has won 995 games. If he reaches 1000 wins sweeping the next 5, he will most probably set another record.
He would then score 100 wins in 101 games going from 900 to 1000. Philip Kahler does not have a wikipedia page and an annual list of his wins is not readily available.
Otherwise, it is safe to say that this is a record.
Geno took 106 games each to pass from 600 to 700, 700 to 800 and 800 to 900.
I have wondered for sometime if he would be breaking his won record.
Kim Mulkey won 113 games out of 118 in three seasons (2010-12).
She is a contender and I have posted that the win-loss record is a likely reason she avoids playing Geno.

I was optimistic from the start so I got my tickets early and told all my friends to show up for the party. When the Huskies reached 100 win we got Geno's 1oo dollar bill and we got to buy the memorial 100 win T-Shirt. By the way you couldn't buy that shirt anywhere else after the game. So be prepared to get the 1000 Geno's dollar bills and maybe a 1000 win T-shirt.
I am a little nervous about ND which will be ranked at least an AP #5 later today. So ND will be a heck of a game at the XL on Dec 3. Get your tickets early.
