One of the UConn coaches was out to watch Westbeld play in December. She is reportedly a tough kid who doesn't back away from contact. The usual suspects are recruiting her, including OSU, Duke, ND, Michigan, etc.

Incredible 13 player roster. I'm not sure Geno takes 6 in 2014.

“Kathyrn was considered a power forward last year, but this year has molded into the small forward position. Notre Dame, Ohio State and UCONN all have interest in Kathryn. I really don't think Geno will get/take 6. However, after a class of just 1, I'd err on the high side, recalling that lack of depth hurt us in recent years. Also, the 2014 class seems to be especially good. If so, I'd load up then and go lighter in 2015.

I have no idea exactly who from 2014 has offers, but we think Turner and Calhoun. Geno really, really (used it twice!) likes Wilson, so she may. I would not be surprised if Canada has one. And of course Ekmark has already verbaled.

The kid in Ohio sounds old school, which Geno likes. She's tough and has a midrange jumper. We have a senior now who is a tough kid from the Midwest. If Kathryn is a little like Kelly, I like that.

That's it! I hope Morgan gets and stays healthy. Moriah and Breanna are on the thin side. I hope they are durable. Saniya has not played a college game yet, so we are not sure how good she will be.

Even if those 4 are healthy and phenomenal, the team needs 1 more for a full unit and 4 more for an 8-player rotation. More than likely, at least one player from 2014 will need to start as a soph. Maybe two will. I like our odds better when we have 4-6 players to pull from.

Maybe a 2015 player will jump into the lineup, but I think a player or two (or three) from 2014 need to be impact players early in their careers. The great 2012 class needs support to maximize their legacy.

It is nice to dream. I like all of these recruits, but, they and other colleges may have something to say about how many Uconn gets.....

They are shorter and less highly ranked at this point. Just as Chiney is more assertive than Nneka, one of the younger ones takes that quality a few steps further.

HOPEFULLY WE GET AT LEAST 2/3 BIGS SINCE GOING INTO 2014 we have 3 Kiah SR, Stewie and Morgan JRS,
that is 3 upper classmen.THEN ALONG WITH EK we get our future pg J Canada. WE will have it spread out in the
guard/wing category over 4 classes
I agree that this class can cement the legacy of the 2012 class of STEWIE,MORGAN,AND MO AND SET US UP DURING AND BEYOND THEM
