I've been thinking the same thing especially if the Huskies get to the FF. I think Stef will have a good tournament, but I think she is going to be targeted to get her into foul trouble.

Who knows what he really thinks, but I think it is going to be about turnovers and rebounding. Interesting comment none the less.

He didn't even play her aginst ND (substantially). Will he even play her against Baylor or Stanford.
I think he makes comments not for the interviewer or the fans, but for the players he hopes will overhear them.

Agreed. The games where UConn has looked like one of the best teams in the country is when Bria Hartley is aggressive from the on set and when Stef Dolson is working hard to get us points down low. Kiah is certainly a key off the bench but I think Bria and Stef are by far the 2 most important pieces to a run. Tiff, KML, Kelly, Caroline, Kiah have all been pretty consistent in what they have given us from game to game. The games where Bria and Stef don't play well are the games we usually struggle in.

Geno's still trying to light the fire in her boiler room. I've had a sense all year that Kiah is way too stoic for Geno. I suspect he and CD want to see her get.... something.... pissed, excited, angry... anything. He would like to see some passion out of her.

If Stef and Kiah can give us 18 points and 12 rebounds a game between then it will be very hard to beat UConn for any one as long as Bria plays like Big Game Bria, KML plays like she did during the Big East T. and Tiff Caroline and Faris do their thing.

18 +13 Bria + 13 Tiff + 5 Caroline + 6 Kelly + 17 KML = 72 points. Reasonable?
Should be enough with our defense against anybody. Agree?

I'll take any of the 2 scenarios as 72 points should be sufficent with the kind of defense this team plays.

I suspect Geno meant Stokes has to have productive minutes and not just go in to give Dolson a blow. Stokes Banks and KML are the bench this year and they are freshmen. If 2 of them can play some quality minutes the starters can rest their legs. If not, the starters will wear down. In at least the first 3 games, Stokes should be able to carry some weight. It's what she does after that that will determine how far UConn gets.
