Any thoughts on Geno's cryptic statements about the upcoming Notre Dame game?

"Tune in. It's gonna be a different kind of game than you've seen us play in a long time."

"There's not a lot of love lost right now.... I don't want to get into it but there was an incident after our game last year .. semi finals at Indianapolis....a Notre Dame player and our team...after the game...back in the bowels...(of the arena).

been discussed in a variety of thread, and has sparked some unpleasant speculation.

Basically, we don't know nothing more than what he (and CD post game) said.

notwithstanding the unpleasantness, i'm curious what the "different kind of game" comment referred to. more twin towers? more physical? more posting up by KML? i think UCONN has an advantage in the post over ND.

maybe referring to ND's ability to get to the line?

Can anyone sum it up without ticking anyone off? I'm unaware of all this

I would bet the newsguys will try to crack this street fight allusion...but I loved the show, at least the part I was able to sneak in at the library. Geno was hilarious; calling everybody out, even us! And then he dropped the mystery bomb about how we should really watch the ND game because we would experience something not like any other witnessed by us before. What, a dancing dog as point guard? He is delightful; always a pleasure for the fans, even when he's ranting around. And he makes as much fun of himself as he does of others. He would be the best color man ever for games; when he gets to be about 80. Ho Ho Ho.

There is nothing to sum up. What I quoted is all he said. Just inuendo. I don't remember any controversy after last year's game.

Street fight? Will they (inadvertently) rip off Skylar's headband in the first half? Though that would be a bad move because once that headband comes off, Skylar means business.
