Geno Auriemma moved past former Louisiana Tech head coach Leon Barmore into second place for all-time NCAA Tournament victories in 2006, among women's basketball coaches. Auriemma, who has tallied 97 NCAA wins, ranks behind only former Tennessee coach Pat Summitt, who is the all-time leader with 112. Auriemma is second all-time among BOTH men's and women's NCAA Division I coaches in NCAA tournament wins, behind only Summitt.
