Beyond giving the assist, Nika is just as happy if she gives the 'hockey assist' (the pass that sets up the assist), or if she tips a ball into a teammate's hands and they get the steal or if she backs an opponent out under the basket and her teammate gets the rebound . She is all about team first all the time.

Yet there are posters on here who like to say negative things about her ability to play.

I'd love to see them attempt to bring the ball down against her for a quarter - might feel like the kid she was glued to in the 4th qtr on Friday from Xavier, glad to hear the final whistle ! Anyway there are a lot more of us that value and appreciate her than not and most importantly those include her teammates and coaches.

The no-look passes have become her signature, alongside the pick-pocket steals. On top of everything else, she seems to grab 1-2 rebounds a game that she had no business coming out of the scrum with. The numbers aren't eye-popping but I think people still underestimate how much the team needs her (albeit with four scorers on the court next to her).

When I was a child, the NY Tuck Tapers games were on TV (either WOR or WPIX). It was an excellent brand of basketball.
