Geno can get more out of CW she is a scoring machine. Geno, tell her ---there is the basket SCORE. Don't defer to anyone- YOU Christyn are the scorer, do it. Then stand back and keep tally.
Evelyn it was evident in the warmup games she was a work in progress, with potential. We need to see her in more cleanup time but she's big shes wide and if truly Kalli McLaren's clone then Geno has a winner--we'll see.
Geno needs MORE out of his core 4 and Ania/Aubrey. He sorely needs Evina. Hope she isn't getting rusty waiting!! Geno is down to 8 big game players, no real effective subs for any of the 4 --if Ania or Aubrey workout as expected it may ease the situation---Remember NCAA, this was the pickle ND was in when Shepherd got her waiver.

Squeaks needs to be the player we all saw, at times, during the December Notre Dame game last year. She has it all l, and the team will need her to take over whenever, to be make a championship run

It's looking like Geno has to play Irwin and we may see more zone when she and Makurat are both on the floor. They are strong and good rebounders but they are not quick of foot. They are both 6'1+ and strong, well suited for a zone.

Geno needs to talk to his point guard re Williams getting more offensive opportunities. Of course, Williams really has to be more aggressive from the opening tip. She has to be much more selfish. I'm one of the very few here who is not a great admirer of the way Dangerfield runs the team. She dribbles too much, shoots threes too much, and penetrates not enough. In Walker and Williams she has 2 players who can score lots. So she needs to figure out how to get them the ball lots, and in the right places. Beyond that, she needs to get to the basket. Can't get there, drop the ball off to one of the wings or Olivia. Re her lack of consistent penetration, I've had the feeling at times that she shies away from contact. In general, compared to the other top teams, I think UConn has shown little interest and effectiveness in the penetrate and kick-out game in recent years. It's such a big part of the game these days, both men and women, so bit of a mystery. Not gonna beat the better teams without penetration. C'mon Crystal!
