At least in the quip department:

“It’s one thing we’ve never had a problem with is passing the ball to the next guy, and I think we’re only going to get better at it as we move along in the season,” Auriemma said. “[Samuelson’s] a good passer, and [Dangerfield’s] a good passer, and now it’s a matter of how many more can we get? … We have a strategy against turnovers that we haven’t used in a while that you can cut down in turnovers [using it]. The strategy is the first guy who catches it shoots it, so we’re trying to do that a lot.”

Pretty good eh?

Five takeaways from the UConn women's dismantling of Vanguard

We know three Huskies who can execute that pretty darn well: Lou, Phee and Danger and CW may be in the running too.

I covered Secretariat who, like Geno, was lengths ahead of the competition but Geno is a much better quote. I hope the journalists who are covering UConn women's basketball appreciate what a great beat they have.
I hate to be a neighsayer, but I am told that Secretariat had a very subtle whinny. Perhaps you just did not appreciate the nuance. But when Geno is feeling his oats, he is usually the mane event. So I defer to your evaluation, and thank you for your insight. After all, one should not look a gift horse in mouth!

This is a comparison you don't see every day.
Well, with 11 national championships to just two each for coaching contemporaries such as Muffet, Tara and Mulkey, Geno really is lengths ahead of the field. Charles Hatton of The Daily Racing Form, wrote of Secretariat, "His only reference point is himself." Given his national championships, his winning percentage and the number of outstanding players he's helped develop, I don't think it would be much of a stretch to say the same thing about Geno.

There wasn't anything subtle about Secretariat. He bit me once when I wouldn't stop petting him at Claiborne Farm in Versailles, Kentucky and he would scare the crap out of visitors by running at them at full speed like he was going to break through his paddock fence and trample them, only to veer off at the last moment. Then he would toss his head, as if laughing at the scurrying onlookers for their cowardice.
One of a kind.

Secretariat was a handsome animal, but frankly had a bit of a horse face. :)
Well, I have to admit, that's true.
But even if you knew nothing about horses and they lined up 20 horses in front of you, you could pick him out of the herd. It's called "The look of eagles" and boy, did he have it.

Personally, Geno is in pretty good shape for the shape he's in.. Facetious, is Geno's middle name, i.e sarcastically witty! His system that he has used since DT, and previously, is the player with the best shot gets the pass. This, the person with the ball shoots drives him nutty--as can be seen from the comment--NUTTY. Also, a missed shot with the opponent rebounding, is a turnover shake it any way you'd like.
Geno has a base philosophy: When a kid goes into a game she does SOMETHING positive.About CW he said: she’s good at a lot of things. Whenever she catches the ball, I want her to do something. I don’t necessarily know what, but I know when she catches the ball she’s going to do something with it.”
It should be noted that CW played well but she had 10 points at the half and at the end. Was Geno teaching then????
