16. Canadian Thanksgiving falls on a Monday (2nd?) in October. I tell Mrs. Kibitzer's Canadian family members that here in America we observe Canadian Thanksgiving by having some people parade in NYC wearing red-white-green sashes. They know we're nuts.

7. 20 are entirely east; the river runs through two more of the cities, so unless you refer to the stadium sites themselves...

8. Topaz (traditionally). They currently use something different (maybe Citrene??). My birthstone ring is topaz.

22. I can't remember the name but I drove through some of those areas a few years back, and, like Katrina, damage remains - much almost unbelievable.

2. 23.8 x 10-7 (Now tell me I am wrong!)
3. Finger snapping, foot stomping, body swaying, arms akimbo good!
6. China
9. It is a net like head cover that covers a woman’s hair. Typically the woman’s hair is in a bun. Seems I saw the Mennonite servers at the Good and Plenty restaurant around Lancaster, PA wearing them. Which is a real trick since I am in Denver.
10. Grenada

16. Second Monday of October (BURNED into my memory! Schedule a simple, little convention during the second week of October and you will be set upon by very angry Jewish people, government and banking employees, and Canadians … who knew there was a Canadian Thanksgiving?! I didn’t! Rosh what? Columbo’s birthday? Huh?!)
17 Dreamliner (The dream part is appropriate)
21. An ilk my parents wouldn’t let date
23. 20,000 leagues on top of the land minus 19,999 (I probably should not be drinking while doing this quiz)

1..We start with a trio, VAUC, K9 and a soused NCor, with Plessy vs. Ferguson.

2..The missing question, but Bob, with an appreciation of pulchritude, names Kathy Shower.

3..Such songs, like Amazing Grace, are black keys only, so singeth VAUC.

4..A dish of northern Argentina.

5..Geordi gives us Chile.

6..The Pope.

7..Mr006 is precise with 20 of 32.

8..And I think it was a Hitchkock movie, TOPAZ. K9 & Knight know their gems.

9..Geordi has the turkey's skin flap.

10..Five of you specify Grenada. Sinatra had a good version, though for the Spanish, listen to Jose Carreras.

11..Just over the border from Austria, in the Italian Alps.

12..Twenty thousand are killed by others, and VTC has it.

13..She was given a baboon heart, but did not live long.

More to follow.

Glad you're still with me.

14..Music & maps offers VAUC. NCor is amusing here, as the inebriated sometimes are.

15..Adele--VAUC is our only up-to-date music listener.

16..Kibitzer & NCor with additional exposition about the 2nd Monday in October.

17..Pap starts 4 of you Dream Lovers...wait, no that was a Bobby Darin song.
Maybe Dream Catcher--no, no, that's an Native American item. Aaaa, I give up.

18..VAUC has Ore. & Wash.

19..Bezzz with the singular offering of Spin & Marty, a Disney serial.

20..Case with NCAA total yards; Dominique with 26 completed passes in a row.

21..A skeg is a surfboard or boat fin. NCor confuses this with "skank". Geordi is not confused.

22..K9 & mr006 rightly name Rita.

23..VTC & Bob (Just ignore NCor. When UPink is not there, he forgets his meds) with "league".

24..Potpourri works, as VTC (who's inclined to jump off the sofa and shout his response) well knows.

25..Pap and K9 identify Lynyrd Skynard. My spelling is a compromise between the 2 posters.

Pleasure doing business.

The credit for correctly answering #18 belongs to Geordi.

Number 7 is intriguing. Can we list the 20 NFL cities east of the Mississippi?

Thanx for the memory jog with Baby Fae. I might be alone in my firm belief that HIV and AIDS are the result of experiments with cross species organ transplants and blood transfusions.

WC - A skeg is also a boat keel extension and the lower end of an outboard motor. I know about the outboard thing because I've had to replace a couple.
A snood is also a woman's head covering as another suggested.

Here's what I had. NE, NY, NY, BUF, PHIL, BAL, WAS, CAR, ATL, JAX, MIA, TB, TENN, PIT, CLEV, CIN. DET INDY, CHI, GB, NO (Superdome is on the East side of the river). That's how I got 21.

Sure VAUC, go ahead and list them.
