17. Albert Pujols; it is said his performance will break the bank. Definitely set a standard for 30+ plus free agents.

1..Has to do with sports.

4..It would be reasonable to conclude that he admired Ben Franklin.

7..You're forgetting "Cogito ergo..."
And, geordi, if you want to emphasize the "I" in I am, you could install a prefix to your offering.

18...You're a few strokes back here.

While you usually only use the word "I" in order to emphasize, what you are looking for is 'yo soy' and 'yo estoy.' Ser is usually used to denote condition; Estar is usually used to denote location.

As for your other hints, your note about Mel Allen reminds me of an old ditty. "Shaeffer...is the...one beer to have...when you having more than one." Never could understand that though. Never figured out who the hell only has one beer.

And, for # 20, FLS has to be the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Down to 5 more.

Some of us readily have less than 1 beer.

A few answers...

1..In Korea, it will be the site of the 2018 Olympic Winter Games.

2..So, VTC, why CAN"T I go for "duomo"? Meet me in the playground after school, and we'll settle it as ruffians.
Geordi & NCor RIGHTLY have duomo. K9's cool with cattedrale too.

3..VAUC leads five with Nicaragua.

4..Electric power from the sun.

5..Geordi tabs Rhea.

6..Pinot starts a quartet with Lonesome Dove.

7..I'll single out ed4, as the only poster with 2 right. Several with 1 correct. Nobody got the Latin (Sum).
French--Je suis, German--Ich bin, Spanish--Yo soy.

8..Pap49 had ELO's Turn to Stone.

9..Good catch, mr006, with longitudinal wave.

10..Pinot, with hotels in place on all three, gives us Ventnor, Atlantic, and Marvin Gardens.

11..Pinot leads four with enzyme.

12..Mr006 and (I think) geordi, though I'm unsure if the latter just dropped a "g" or whether there is such a game as "bino".

13..NCor is alone with Gestalt.

My opponent canceled tennis for this a.m, so instead I shall get my exercize with a brisk walk.
You get the rest when I return.

WC - Your question was "cathedral" in Italiano. Italiano is the romance language that we call Italian, The translation of cathedral to Italian is cattredale.

Had you posed the question differently duomo would have been an acceptable answer for cathedral.

Where ya been, Meyers?

Late October, with emphasis on "late", is my favorite stretch of time. Typically the beginning of the month features
a 72-90 degree range. Then we drop to about 60-80. Ah, the glory days where while most of you are enjoying
Leafpeepingitis, we just finally enjoy outordooredness.

Continuing...

14..Our 2 "V" posters plus geordi explain that it's a temporary ranking.

15..VTC has both parts--Simon Baker, an Aussie.

16..Ed4 reports that this Turkish city had a bad earthquake.

17..Meyers & VAUC are the bookends for 5 of you with Albert Pujols.

18..200 meter backstroke, which pap finds hilarious.

19..Ballentine's Law Dictionary.

20..Fair Labor Standards Act, as only a chap like geordi would know.

21..The Bold and the Beautiful--shame on you for not spending meaningful hours on weekday
educational programming.

22..Rhode Island, VTC has that info.

23..The CD is TIME TO SAY GOODBYE by the comely soprano, Sarah Brightman.

24..Adjustment of Status

25..Pap, geordi & VTC finish us with Zambia.

Sometimes I revisit my amazement that my one-inch-square Apple IPod holds about 260 of my songs.
I don't ever expect to understand miniaturization, how so many components of so many machines are tinier than a cheese mite. Bye for now.

I'm sorry, VTC, but I don't follow your objection as to why duomo does not fit.

Perhaps Wire Chief was using slang when he wrote Italiano. Also our answers may simply indicate gender. Cattredale is a feminine noun. Duomo is a masculine noun. Some of us see cathedrals as being feminine and some of us see them as being masculine. It is simply a point of view.

Perhaps Wire Chief was using slang when he wrote Italiano. I know this could be a problem for many literal-minded folks. Also our answer may simply indicate gender. Cattredale is a feminine noun. Duomo is a masculine noun. Some of us see cathedrals as being feminine and some of us see them as being masculine. It is simply a point of view.

Now I get it, and yeah, I was using Italiano in an all-inclusive sense. VTC's objection has merit.
