2. A piece of space junk crashed in the Kecksburg area and people like my high school and college friend raced out to see it and returned pronouncing it a UFO. We agreed to disagree. We were attending Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, PA. (At that time home of Rolling Rock Beer and … oh yeah … Arnold Palmer … hey, we were college students. Ever have an Old Frothingslosh, the pale, stale, ale with the foam on the bottom?)

Is WC okay? I've never seen him go this long without closing one of these out. Are you there, oh Testmeister?

I posted the answer sheet earlier today, but got an error message. No explanation.
I'd rather not go through it all again if iffy.

When I answer your Qs, I copy them to a MS-Word DOC. I then create my answers and copy them back to the board. Why? I once answered the questions in the board's reply area and like you got an error and my answers were vaporized. Do the same with your Qs construction.

14) A string bet is a poker bet where a player announces a call and a raise at the same time.
"I see your bet, and raise you..." That is not allowed in casino Poker.

Bummer, WC.
But it was good to hear from you ... I was concerned the snapdragons attacked en masse and you were writhing in pain trying to escape the clutches of perennials gone wild. Perhaps gasping a futile, unheard plea to neighbors to come quick with herbicides and machetes as the fiendish flowers did their best anaconda lambada.

Yes, Fairview, they tried to do all that, but since they are only annuals, they ran out of time.

Anyway, I shall try to post piecemeal, to save myself aggravation should I be stymied.

1..Geordi, Fair & VTC with 14thC.

2..Alex & NCor spirited away by UFO's. The military deny all knowledge.

3..Pap & 3 with the nuclear disaster at Chernobyl.

4..Geordi accurate with Army, Navy & BYU.

5..JRR & NCor fingering the drug cartel, which draws, quarters, and beheads...and that's just for starters.

6..A care home.

7..Pap leads 5 with (south) Korea.

8..VAUC selects Philby as the 4th of a gtoup of Brits who spied for Russia during the cold war.

Hopefully, more to come soon.

Moving along...

9..Many know their Philly geography.

10..THE PAPA, THE PAPA...TRADITION!!! Alex leads 7.

11..Fair leads 3 with the precise wording--SMOKE GETS IN YOUR EYES.

12..A quintet identifies Douglas (I shall return) MacArthur.

13..Oh, so many with the goofy NYC dj of early rock and roll.

15..Rbny slightly ahead of JRR and geordi by putting the final "s" on Saint-Saens.

14..See Bobanozz for a sterling explanation.

16..Mr006 leads 5 with tongue and groove.

17..Six of you in the root beer taste-off among Barq, Dads & Mugs. Let me know who wins.

Part 3 soon.

Renewed hope for a successful conclusion...

18..No, not Olympus, but at least geordi has the right neighborhood.

19..We got 4 "roi''s for king.

20..Santa Rosa

21..VTC, Fair & Jrr with different, but correct, offerings of lyrics in GIRL FROM IPANEMA.

22..Rbny is most complete with Mesa Verde and Guiseppi Verdi.

23..Four of you with both names, Dan Ackroyd and Bill Murray.

24..The Catholics refer to it as the "offertory", but we'll give geordi credit for the secular "first collection".

25..Four of you with Stacy Quiche...um, there's something wrong here.

Now, NCor, while you keep giving me computer-functioning hints, I must point out that, though I am the "testmeister", I don't know dork about high level computer actions.
Still, I hope UPink returns to you some day.

PS, I, too, thought it was "deep", Fairview, but when I looked it up, I read "here". Personally, I thought "deep" is a better choice.

My answer to #21 extends beyond the girl from Ipanema -- any woman with those characteristics really is not interested in me.
