I love how strong she is. Picture someone as immovable as Lauren Ebo but who runs the floor really well. That’s an impossible combination but it’s what she has, speed and strength. Gandy sprinting in transition is glorious to see. And it looks like her finishing at the rim has really improved.

What a lovely young woman: smart, lively and focused. An awe inspiring combination. And the list of what she’s improving on in her game included this: “knowing where to be on the court.” This is a great sign of her potential. She already understands that basketball is as much about mental skills as about physical ones. This must be what Geno saw in her, that and her immense physical potential. Realizing physical potential depends essentially on mental fortitude.
