Hopefully this is students along the sidelines

In the $ 1,400 per seat donation section? Where each seat cost $ 1,900

And that's this year's price. You know seat donations are increasing next year. Total cost will be closer to $ 2,500 per

Not all the seats, but yes. It happens at a bunch of schools and it looks awesome on TV

So we go from Priority Points you built up over many years becoming mostly irrelevant, to the current renew and you keep your seat policy, to the possible future of maybe your seat being reconfigured out of existence so they can create more “Premium Seating”. Time will tell.

So much for our “forever seats” as long as you pay the seat fee. That’s how it was pitched
Thanks, I couldn’t think of the slogan they used “Forever Seats” - now they may be re-configured away for “Premium Seats” as if we did not think we were paying a premium over the seat price with a seat donation for the Forever Seats.

My guess is that a select group of outside consultants roam this space, pitching how to enhance seating income. So to generate business for themselves every few years, they have to come up with a new pitch how a school can enhance their seating income by a certain percentage, by using whatever the new fad the consulting World is now pitching. Given the fact that inflation is hurting all but the elite level seat holder but the stock market has done well - Premium Seating is the current narrative. It likely has two components. Keep and expand seating for the 5% highest income current fans, but also target rich non current seat holders. What better time to do that than after two NC’s. These wealthy casual fans interest is peaked now so lock them into a multi year Premium package.

The day that we have donors similar in quantity and quality to the Iron Dukes we can provide students better seating. Until then, we need to be a bit more willing to give all of the better seats to those who give more to the school.

We also are still in a position where the athletic department needs to be a bit more creative in generating revenues which sadly, currently requires being less sympathetic to the fan base than we would prefer.
