Wont be watching any women's games tonight....... but if you want to see one of the biggest under the radar rivalry in college basketball... tonight at 7pm on ESPNU.. The Aggie/Eagle Classic (basketball version) NCA&T host NC Central. Probably the most hyped atmosphere in college hoops. They call the home court "Club Corbett" @Plebe

What's gonna happen to the Aggie/Eagle Classic after NCA&T bolts for the Big South?

I see Nicholls' recent hot streak has made them a team to monitor in Plebe's weekly rundown. Go Colonels!

I think you meant "Geaux Colonels" :)

If the Colonels can finish in the top 8 and reach the Southland tournament, it would be a great achievement.

In the Aggie-Eagle Classic.... My Aggies thrashed the Eagles. That place was ROCKING.... sold out crowd..... they were saying on the radio that 2,800 students had downloaded tickets for the game. Thats pretty impressive for a mid-major institution.

Seems like an outlier to be one of “your” teams

1st year coach is Rene Haynes... former Duke assistant. Director of Basketball Operations is Faith Suggs... graduated from Duke last season. Got off to a rough start this season.... but things are looking up.

Further proof that there are no nights off in the Big South. Gardner Webb... fresh off a thrashing at HPU..... is down 15 in the 4th quarter on the road at Presbyterian.

The Blue Hose pull off the upset.

Meanwhile.... Down in the BucDome..... The Lady Bucs of Charleston Southern are tied 49 all with UNC-A. Mind up the Lady Bucs are 3-21 with one conference win. UNC-A is 14-10... NO NIGHTS OFF IN THE BIG SOUTH.

@LETTERL and I are excited to see Nicholls putting on a clinic of sorts, up 46-38 over Northwestern State. This is a must-win if the Colonels are to realize the dream of reaching the prestigious Southland tournament, which only 8 teams in the entire country can achieve.

In the wacky Big-12, TCU is off to a very slow start against Kansas State, down 24-16 late in 2Q.

George Washington has recovered from its own slow start to pull within 1 point of Dayton in 3Q.

GW leads Dayton 36-31 after 3Q. If GW can hang on, this would be a huge upset, as well as Dayton's first loss in the A-10.

Dayton put up a 19-8 fourth quarter to put away GW and clinch the A-10 championship.
This is their 15th consecutive win and their 3rd consecutive A-10 title.

Another team still undefeated in conference--Fresno St. at 15-0 in the MWC--is in some trouble. Trailing by 14 at the half @ Air Force.

Nicholls has turned into one of the hottest teams in the nation. Now THREE Ws in a row for the Colonels. Huge game Saturday with Central Arkansas; winner moves into that all important #8 slot in the conference standings.

Fresno St. went down HARD 88-65. That's a head scratcher. Of all the MWC teams they could lose to...Air Force was 4-10 in conference and 6-19 overall coming into this game. Must've been that high elevation in Colorado Springs. I think they've already wrapped up the conference crown and they won't get an at large bid, so it doesn't really matter. Boise St. leading San Jose St. comfortably and looking to solidify their hold on 2nd. I think they were as low as 4th not too long ago.

In the first round of the USA South Conference (Division III)..... Greensboro College (My Pride) came from 18 points down in the beginning of the 4th quarter to defeat the Flying Squirrels of Mary Baldwin... 90-78 in overtime.... in front of a raucous home crowd at GC. Next up is a trip to the mountains of Kentucky .. to face off against #1 (West) Berea.

The old logo of the Pride ..... but still one of my all time favorites in collegiate sports.
