We would certainly be off the grid. Also, ESPN would save some (very little) money working locally. If, IF Gameday comes to the Rent, you know the game is at 12noon, because they wouldn't tape in front of an empty parking lot due to our 4 hour limit!

If Game Day was at UConn... I could see them setting up on Campus for the early shows and then at the Rent later in the afternoon.

While I highly doubt they come here the schedule leaves a lot to be desired. I don't see any games with two ranked teams playing.

The home games for ranked teams scheduled for ABC, ESPN or ESPN2 don't offer much either and wouldn't be considered off the grid.

While there certainly is some delusion to them coming here, look at the schedule and show me a ranked team playing on ESPN, off the grid, that would be a better slot.

The funny thing is that they'd make our game a night game, the Gameday crew would show up at 9am or whatever, and nobody would be allowed on the Rent property until 3:30. We'd have Gameday with no fans.

They would open up the lots obviously. Just like when Gameday comes to Gampel, they open the doors and let all the fans in. It will be quite the day!

I would think Wisconsin would be considered on the grid and WVU vs Md...maybe but then again I would think a ranked team would have to be invloved.

I was thinking maybe Utah vs Brigham Young...in state rivalry and BYU being a name school...but no rankings...

Going from a conference where you knew a little bit of the history of teams you played, SU-Jim Brown, McNabb, Freeney, Pitt-Marino, Dorsett, Fitzgerald, Revis, WVU-Major Harris, Pat White, RU-Ray Rice. To a league with Tulane???, Tulsa??? will do that to a fan base.

Not disparaging those programs because rightfully they would think the same about us but we've been rocked. Maybe in a few years things will be different, but right now I have no anticipation about playing these teams. None.
