You can overcome a lack of talent with effort. The Rutgers TD and the Lamell play are flip sides of the same coin. UConn's safety completely whiffed on a ball thrown into his chest in the end zone because he half-assed it. Lamell salvaged a play with poor blocking, a bad throw, and a poor route, by sticking with the play.

We never had much of a talent issue relatively speaking. We have a coaching issue.
