Plus we got to see Stewie shuffle up and down the bench for the after-trey high-five celebration. Love that given she has a rolled ankle. Guess she's OK!

Bench celebration and kind words from Geno. Who could ask for anything more?
We luv 'ya kid!!!!!

I'll give you something more: Bre was the person running up and down the bench with the high 5's when Polly scored. Ankle couldn't have been too bad. Dr. Pulido brings the cure.

Two real outstanding HIGHLIGHTS---Katie Lou's Stewie-ish drive to the basket with a sweeping layup--superb, I want more, more.
Then--my girl, Courtney Ekmarks--fast dribble down the court and letting fly a perfect 3 pointer--superb, I want more, more.

If these two kids, (you call them what YOU want) if they can do that a few times ever game--Uconn will be very very successful. Katie and Courtney have the talent to do this every time--confidence? Girly stuff? (I don't want them to think me a hog) Geno?

Seriously doubt Geno because he WANTS each player to IMPACT the game as they go in--Geno calls the hesitancy to repeat successful shots girly stuff (I just borrowed it).

You are right! If really was an entertaining game. I never thought it would be without Stewie in the lineup. This team has great spirit! I wish Chong could have played. She looked kind of let- down on the bench; can't blame her; hope she can play soon!

Let's not forget Ms.Moriah's unbelievable acrobatic steal/balance retainment and perfect hand-off to Kia who then ruined everything by blowing the layup...

-Well, not exactly everything just that highlight reel op.

Seems that Ms. Pheesa gets her hands everywhere, where they're not supposed to be.
A Grand Larcenist at heart.

Ain't she grand?

but I loved the pick. Pulido is super. Loved that mini-conference along the sidelines with Geno, just like the big girls do.
Who knows...playing time?

“She works hard,” Jefferson said. “We call her the ball magnet on our team because every time there’s a loose ball, she’s the person on it. I don’t know how it happens, but literally every time there is a ball somewhere, Pheesa’s got it. She comes out and makes hustle plays like that...

...

“That’s the unique thing about Napheesa,” UConn coach Geno Auriemma said. “She is moving so much that she finds herself in the right spot more times than not, and that’s offensively and defensively. When we’re at practice, every time she catches the ball in the lane she shoots it and she shoots like 70 percent. I didn’t realize that was pretend Napheesa, that when she gets in a real game she wants to pass it out of there all the time. So we have to encourage her to be more offensive minded, because she can be.”
