Especially this late in the tournament, I always find a UConn T-shirt to wear, almost always from some past national championship team.

But the catch is…I like to have a spare or two handy to change into if things aren't going well. This strategy has worked like a charm a couple of times. For example, at halftime of the Dayton game last year, down by one point, I switched from a 2013 champs shirt to a 2004 3-peat shirt. And the rest, as they say, was history.

That 3-peat shirt was good to me during the Oregon State game, so it's earned the start again tonight. I'm hoping not to have to change it until tomorrow morning…

(And yes, I do fully realize I'm crazy!)

Yes, you surely are. But it is great, too.

I either sit on the floor or on my coffee table. If they are trailing (God forbid) or I sense a momentum shift I switch the channel and pace for a few minutes before I switch back..

Gotta wear a Husky tee and can't do the BY during the game. Read it at the half, but must focus on the play.

The DVR "chicken out."

I emulate BigBird. It's not really a superstition, just an act of kindness to my GI tract.

I might take a peek at the score when I estimate they're half way through the 4th quarter.

For the FF the wife and I go in person and have a martini before each game. It's worked 4 times in a row. Not to worry, we had one tonite!

Pizza juju....Dough must be made by 11a.m. Our go to toppings for The Final Four: Broccoli Rabe with sausage and White Clam with Bacon. I have been making pizzas for EVERY UConn women's game since 1995...

2 pieces of the white clam please. Just drone it to coordinates....

Starting with the UCONN-Stanford game at the end of the first half..... where we were down 20-12.... worst first half ever for UCONN..... I started a new tradition in the second half.

When I watch the championship game I need to have a glass of wine. I sip every time UCONN scores. a quick sip for a free throw, a normal sip for a 2, and a longer sip for a 3. Every play. I cannot drink when they do not score. It is only for the championship game... after 82 points tonight I feel good ;) But it seriously helped in the second half against Stanford.
