Game Day Haiku

.-.
.-.
winter. saturday.
chinooks thwart the daffodil.
hope springs eternal.

winter. saturday.
arbors stand bereft. naked.
when cometh zephyr?

winter. saturday.
slumber lingers, leave thou be.
swevens of za. bliss.

winter. saturday.
awake ye canines! rise up!
the trumpet doth blares!

winter. saturday.
thine foe is at hand. creighton?
kick 'em in da nutz.

blue jays? send they
back to Council Bluffs. big fun.
we say 'you got served.'

I'm lying low, keeping warm
waiting, on the game
