HCRE has named the three game day captains for Thursday nights opener vs Holy Cross.. TE Tommy Meyers, LB Junior Joseph, RB Jason Thompson.
The best thing about these first game honors is that Randy is a tough grader. Getting kudos from a flaky and disingenuous Diaco meant little to the players, but this is very meaningful. Tommy Meyers is viewed by Edsall as the perfect leader needed to jump start the season. It also says a lot about Junior Joseph setting an example with his incredible work ethic--and tons about RB Jason Thompson, who most folks had assumed was an afterthought before spring/summer camp. The stage is now set for an inspiring effort by the Huskies. It's time to wipe away the sad realities of the last few years and usher in the promise of renewed glory on the field. Hallelujah and amen.
