Today is about HOPE:
1. This team must show progress. How is that meassured? Effort must be shown. A win would be wonderful, but this team must show that, unlike last season, it won't wither in the face of adversity. The successful Husky teams of this century had the ability to take a punch & give back in kind, i.e. show a spine!
2. Last week showed a glimmer of capability when, on the first offensive series, the team ran a reverse or end around & actually moved the ball. Then HCRE played close to the vest. Was it not wanting to tip his hand to future opponents? In any case, the Huskies must attack on offense, using all phases.
3. The defense MUSt continue its good showing of last week & dictate terms to the Illini.
The Huskies are on display this week, with a national television game on CBSSN. It's time to put an end to being a punchline & laughingstock of the FBS scene.
