Game ball: Summers

Summers carried out the golden football today. Also saw the table leg and sledge hammer, but can't remember who had those.

I thought it was funny that, in my opinion, he had the best, and worst plays of the game (TD return, and missed tackle that lead to the first down, then FG). Blooms drop could contend for worst as well though. He dropped 2. I think the rain really hurt him (everyone was dropping balls from both teams).

Summers was fantastic though on every other play. Made really nice plays on the ball. The one play was just a brain freeze imo.

I think the rain (more specifically, the reaction to the conditions) was the cause for most drops. Tulane had a couple (supposedly) highly skilled receivers who also had some drops. It appeared in those cases the receivers closed their hands too quickly, likely due to tryin too hard to firmly catch the bll as opposed to just pulling it in.

Bloom has a ton of potential. He just needs a bit more experience and another offseason with Balis and he could become something very special.

I think Summers has been great.

The MVP? Justin Wain. No errors & 12 punts. Pushed the field position battle into Tulane & they absolutely couldn't get to our side if the field.

Someone knocked Shireffs. That's crazy. His 79 yards rushing ate up the damn clock and largely brought that W.

Could contend? That drop was brutally bad. The only play close to that was Stewart's failure to recover that fumble. Both plays cost us a TD.
