Gail is hired as a consultant. Can't be paying what a D1 Head Coaching position would. Link

Do these "consultant" jobs ever work out? I remember PHS's position with the Mystics that didn't seem to do much.

Cant think of one successful consultant.

No idea what that is all about.

The other "consultant" is married to the other Assistant Coach.

The Asst. Coach who left - Jim Lewis - had a college gig when we were first watching WBB, and we were at a tournament with his team. He had a play "Carolina" that he was constantly calling out and running. Before the first half was over, we (the fans) were recognizing the play. I hope his family issue works out, he seemed like a nice guy.

The new asst. coach, Pettus, should be a good hire.

Any money is better than no money.

Wonder why the team needs consultants. Maybe it's just a different word for assistant coach or somesuch because there's a limit on how many coaches a team can have.

Jim Lewis was head coach of George Mason, and served as an assistant coach to several USA Basketball teams including the 94 Jones Cup, and the 95 World University Games

George Mason it was, in a tourney at Manhattan with Tennessee (Holdsclaw's homecoming game, I think). We were new fans and wanted to see Tennessee "up close".
