Gabs will be on fire for France in the Paris Olympics. She has excelled in Europe the past few years. The W has not seen the best of Gabby Williams!

My handle was created in honor of Gabrielle Lisa Williams when she was drafted by the Sky but with her commitment to France, I dared not change it, quickly forgetting about Chicago. Grandmother and mother are happy with her passionate connection to Le Bleu, I'm sure. BlueSky has acquired an even deeper meaning.

I’ll never forget the Uconn and South Carolina game when Gabby and Pheese outplayed Aja Wilson and Alaina Coates who were considered the best front court that year …that was an epic.

When UConn was recruiting Gaby, was a video of her doing the 'high jump' in H.S. Was very much impressed with her potential coming to play basketball. Appears that she made it over the top bar !

The video was from her father at the U.S. Olympic trials. She finished 5th, not quite making the team. But I believe she tied the U.S. age-group mark in the process (15 or 16). She jumped about 3.5 “ over her height.

When running down the court, she reminded me of a gazelle - just beautiful strides.
