Kia is playing the point guard positions so im sure the starting 5 is set for next year.
Why is it ridiculous?
All entirely possible and I hope it turns out that way. But it is also entirely possible that Gabby coming off the bench is what is best for next's years team. UCONN has had AA player returning ( Bria Hartley) coming off the bench as recently as 2012-13 season for this exact reason-best for the team. UCONN is going to have at least 1, maybe more, AA (actual or contending) player coming off the bench next year. I'm not sure how anyone can say what is ridiculous or who those player(s) would be. In November of 2014 it was "Ridiculous" that Saniya was not starting over Moriah Jefferson after the Stanford game so I've become rather sensitive to that word.Perhaps because she may well be at least a second team All American this season and, considering her stunningly upward trajectory, could be in the running for one of the NPOY awards next year.
Agreed, but only because preconceived notions of voters have more to do with AA and NPOY selections than actual current performance. Otherwise she'd be first team AA this year, without the wait, and would be strongly considered for NPOY this very season. Looking at her overall, jaw-dropping contributions in so many facets of the game, I'm pretty well-convinced that she's the number one player in the country...right now! The idea of her coming off the bench either now, or at any future point in her UConn career, well, yes, it is ridiculous!Perhaps because she may well be at least a second team All American this season and, considering her stunningly upward trajectory, could be in the running for one of the NPOY awards next year.
