It seems like Georgia Tech games are always like this. They never play good offense but they are physical, aggressive and athletic. Usually, like today, they make the game ugly for 2-3 quarters before ND adjusts and pulls away. I was glad you noted the refs; I wanted to be sure I wasn't just being a homer. Tech seemed to be employing the "they won't call a foul on every possession" and the refs were more than happy to oblige. ND sunk to Tech's level by playing fast and sloppy. I became very nostalgic for Lindsay Allen when watching this game. ND needed a guard with a calm temperament to take control and slow the game down a bit. Normally it suits ND to play fast but today the helter skelter game was exactly what Tech wanted. Tech has no chance of out-executing Notre Dame in a half-court game. ND had only 4 of their 19 turnovers in the 2nd half. Once they cleaned that up, they took control. Jackie Young had a few loose passes but other than that she was fantastic today. 22 pts, 7 reb, 7 ast, 5 steals.
