MHver3's "multiple sources" were two browser instances running of that Kevin Jones Twitter feed.

Kevin Jones is an actual reporter, which means someone he trusts told him something. He isn't a message board poster. He has actually attached his name to this.

I have seen a theory that the Big 10 is smoking out UVa and UNC. We shall see.

We have nothing to lose. Everyone knows UConn is a worthwhile school.

How would the ACC counter this? What two schools would they take?

UConn and Cincy? UConn and USF? Two other schools because it seems like the world is out to shit on us with this conference realignment horseshit?

William+Mary.

Genius there is that they could continue to play as one school, or split into both the College of William and the College of Mary. Perfect way to give them flexibility, in case Notre Dame joins.

Same plan could work for Lewis+Clark, too, but they're in Oregon.

The ACC would then come and BEG UConn to join knowing that it's their last shot at adding a huge TV market (NY, Boston, CT) with the kind of academic and athletic excellence that comes with UConn and that DIDN"T come with Louisville. Then they'd likely invite Cincinnati, USF and UCF. The USF/UCF markets are #11 and #14 and if combined in the I-4 corridor, that is HUGE. It would serve as a proactive move for ultimately losing FSU, VT and probably UNC. I can also see Temple getting an invite for penetration into Philly.

I have some tweets about this too. I just posted them. I bet that weasel MHver3 stole the information from me, just like he stole my San Diego State rumor.

Speaking of that rumor, in which San Diego State and 5 eastern teams join the Big 12, look how nicely that fits with this Georgia Tech and Virginia rumor. I made sure to point that out on my twitter feed.
