I think it is obvious that Drummond does not gain entry into the UConn 'Ring of Honor' at Gampel.

But do you think Lamb will eventually get the honor? His statistics for his first two years are very good and he won a National Championship in those two years. Normally I would say that the Ring of Honor should be reserved for players who played a minimum of 3 years for the team...but since Gay has been inducted, I would assume that Lamb eventually will be too.

Is it a definate? Or what are his chances?

Also...how is Caron Bulter not in a 'Huskies of Honor' member. I would say that it is because he only spent 2 years at UConn...but Rudy Gay is in. I would argue that Butler's impact at UConn was greater than Rudy Gay's impact during his 2 years. I hope this doesn't just become 'who has the best NBA career' list.

.. and how is Ben Gordon not included either? How did Gay get the honor before Butler, Gordon, etc? Not a knock on Gay...just think that he is below Gordon/Butler/etc on the list of all time great Huskies!

Both Butler and Gordon were supposed to be inducted on the same day as Rudy this year during the NBA lockout...then the league started again and messed up the schedule. Butler and Gordon will be next year sometime

I believe it was reported that Caron (and Ben I think?) will be inducted. They were not this year due to scheduling conflicts.

As for Jeremy, I would say it depends upon his NBA performance, and how closely he stays tied to the program. Rudy is always talking positively about UCONN, coming back to play, etc.

While I think it should be reserved for players who had significant impacts while at UCONN, and furhter for those who have been here for more than a cup of coffee, I guess if Rudy Gay gets in there are pretty much no real standards. Among th e"modern" players it seems now that the decisions are based at least as much on their NBA careers as on their UCONN contributions. but I guess when the idea of a good player staying 4 years is almost unheard of, that's all you can base it on.
