In Rebecca Lobo's typically gracious talk last night, she noted that she will not be the last Husky to have her banner hung at Gampel.

Who will be the others? okay, the low hanging fruit is D and Maya. Will Stewie have the pro career to merit it? Tina? Sue?

Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi already have Naismith busts waiting and Maya's is under construction. Tina and Stewie still have a lot more career left but barring injury they get in as well.

Chris Dailey.
Deserved but I'm not sure it will happen. Dee, Maya, Stewie should all make it.

Keep in mind those that there will be entries on the men's side as well. Ray Allen will likely be the first.

My opinion regarding the players:

Sue is a lock. She has 4 Olympic golds and more USA Basketball medals than ANYONE. (Stewie may pass her in time.) Still the only player with 3 Liebermans. All-time assist leader.

Diana is a lock. 3 NCAA and WNBA championships, leading scorer, 4 Olympic golds, and simply GOAT.

Maya may be there based on her resume as it stands today. The ultimate winner, 25 major championships in 13 years. 4-time AA, 3-time NPOY, WNBA MVP, 4 WNBA titles in 7 years. 150-4 in college, probably the best winning percentage in the pros. In the conversation for GOAT.

Tina is close. The only thing she lacks is pro championships. Given the roster on L.A. and Minny, winning a title could be tough. But if Tina plays about 6 more years, she could be the WNBA career leader in rebounds AND points. She's a perennial 1st team All-WNBA.

Stewie is on her way. 3-time NPOY, 4-time Final Four MOP, 4-time NCAA champion. Can surpass Sue's tally of USA Basketball medals. Could become the GOAT.

Moriah has the college record and potential. She needs more pro success.

Nykesha has a stellar college and pro record. I think she's possible.

It's hard to say with the current crop, but anyone who is the #1 HS player has the potential. Lou, Meg, and Christyn are on this list. I don't know what Gabby's ceiling is, but I wouldn't ever bet against the Gabulous One. Z could dominate for a decade or more.
