-11 through 14 holes at the Travelers.

It's a par 70 layout.

57 or 58 is a possibility.

Thank you for that heads up - I got to watch the end of the best round in history of 613000 pga rounds!!!!

Welcome.

Second sub-60 round in his PGA career. Facts like that come in handy when the s-it talking gets going good in the locker room, bar or driving range.

This is bad for UConn.

No kidding Einstein. PGA Tour has stops in Orlando, Houston, New Orleans, Tampa and Memphis and no one shoots 58-59 on those courses.

Just another example of why UConn will be lucky to sniff a P5 invite.

The first 59 was shot in Memphis. Geiberger.

Glad Jim did that - he is local to Jacksonville (PVB).

Even more exciting... my friend Mike - his son (Russell) won the tournament!

Small world - huh?! I'll be at the TPC at Sawgrass tomorrow. I really thought Russell would win that... He beats that course up in practice rounds.

Furyk showed emotion?!?!?

Furyk has 17 tour wins including one major. Is he a future HOF'er? I would say as of now....no. At age 46 if he were
to get to 20 wins with 2 majors then he probably sneaks in. Oddly I think this one round...with his new nickname of Mr. 58...
will bring enough sizzle to his resume that even if he stays at 17 wins he might get in anyway.

58 is absolutely a historic score in that no one has ever done it, but on a par 70 loop, it is "only" 12 under par. It's still a great round, but has happened on more than a handful of occasions.

Actually I have a CT golf buddy that shoots below 60 quite often. But his math is freakin terrible every damn hole! Not to mention the 2nd (sometimes 3rd) shot attempts where he takes the best ball everytime. We call him '2 shot Steve'.

Yeah...umm...that's not allowed on the PGA Tour.
