Watched the replay on ESPN3 and seeing USF utilize the fullback and have success wearing us down with it made me think that we need to see some of this from our team. Like the Edsall days to help out the new QB. Without Phillips we have only one proven threat at wideout. We also are lacking the experienced blocking tightend so adding the fullback with 2 wideouts and an H-back type blocking tightend like McQuillan might give us some options. Always liked the fullback as a pass receiver. Walsh was looking good in preseason practice according to reports and Claxx would fit here as well. Hell, put Claxx at tailback and Walsh at FB and see what happens. Might open up the playaction for Davis and whoever else is out wide. Just something to put in the mix IMO.
