>>Levenberry will compete with Matt Walsh for the starting role at weakside linebacker, which Walsh owns right now. And it would be very difficult for anybody to unseat Junior Joseph, an AAC honorable mention pick and the second-leading tackler on the team (93) in 2015.

Yet, whoever doesn't start will play a lot. "If E.J. Levenberry turns out to be a more downhill run defender and Matt turns out to be a better curl defender, then when that situation presents itself, we'll put the appropriate player in, or vice versa," Diaco said.

Diaco said Levenberry's experience and accomplishments don't make him a starter but shouldn't be ignored.

"He achieved at that level, so he's a dynamic player; they didn't make a mistake," Diaco said. "He's an excellent player, but everybody's role is earned ... coaches, directors, support staff, players, every role is earned."<<

I can't wait to see him at the spring game. We really need consistency at LB. Too many missed tackles and poor angles in 2015.

Agreed, and I think we all got on Stewart in particular a lot for that over the course of the season. Stewart wasn't a good system fit for Diaco and we should have a taller and more athletic player to replace him. should help.
