Connecticut has a tough legacy to follow
Connecticut has a tough legacy to follow

Next year's Huskies team will be looking for a new point guard, a dominant post presence and new tone-setters, with the possibility that there will be no senior starters on the floor for Connecticut for the first time in nearly a decade.

It really simple - We have Geno and you don't!

This is the type of challenge Geno nd CD love. We may not be undefeated or ranked #1, but I wouldn't bet against us not making the final four. After all - We Are UCONN!

I guess I didn't realize that the next season started already and that we looked a bit out of sorts and had lost some games....

New Point Guard??? While no Div 1 experience we have one Coming in DANGERFIELD who when playing USA BB last year--I thought I was seeing Moriah. She won't have Moriah 4 years of Div 1 experience--but the kid is beyond good. I doubt Chong will be healthy enough to take over that role.
Gabby, Irwin, Napheesa will be super rebounders and when the season starts top quality 3 ball shooters--defense for the new guys will be the learning curve.. Natalie, love her hater her, take her or leave her, appears to be the Post presence for the coming year, unless Geno takes a transfer again!!

I like the way Gabby is thinking. "We are going to come out with a fiery passion to prove that UConn still has a legacy."
Geno told the story of Gabby coming to his office before the tournament and saying that she needed to get better because next year the big three were moving on, and Geno told her to let's just worry about this year first. Gabby was thinking ahead before #11 was even in the trophy case!
