I don't think I've ever seen a game where the two teams were more mirror images of each other - down to the lack of reliance on bench players (which ultimately bit Iowa in the final).
A superstar leader/guard
A tough as nails defensive guard
A single contributing big
A well rounded second/third guard/forward
A solid 5th starter
A bench the coach was unable/unwilling to use
Unfortunately for UConn, only KK significantly outplayed her counterpart. I'd call Paige/Clark a wash; Muhl/Marshall a near wash; Edwards/Stuelke a win for Iowa; KK/Martin a win for UConn; Shade/Affolter a wash; Brady/Iowa bench a win for UConn). All in all, a really close game with two very evenly matched teams that was a pleasure to watch. Other than KK, no one for UConn had a surprising game.
Looking forward to seeing UConn with a full roster next season and hoping Geno learned that he needs to develop players (particularly the freshmen) during the season and live with the growing pains in order to utilize them during the tournament.
