Whenever I see people say UConn can't run/recruit for the spread etc. I say go look at freaking Utah. They're more isolated than we are.

Whenever I see people say UConn can't run/recruit for the spread etc. I say go look at freaking Utah. They're more isolated than we are.

You made me go look @ their roster - geez, 40+ kids from State of Utah alone (population of 3mil) 35+ kids from State of CA.

It's pretty crazy how well they've continued to coach up the Utah talent. Obviously the California players help a ton, but they're finding diamonds in the rough too. It's a model that we need to try and replicate - there's talent in CT and NY/New England. Then get those extra gamechangers from NJ/PA/etc.

That is why you stay up watching this stuff. Great performance from Utah and huge guts going on 4th down and playing for the win. Such a better decision than kicking the FG which is only good 60% of the time and trying to win a coin flip in OT.
