With all the returning talent at UConn, plus Dorka, PT is going to be hard to come by this season. Caroline strikes me as one of the most likely players who might just break into the rotation, particularly if she’s able to knock down 3’s from the cheap seats.

"My decision making is better and I think I'm more confident in every move I make," Ducharme said. "I'm stronger and faster. I've worked on things that, like I said, I would have never even thought of. I watch tape from my first individual workout to what I was doing at the end and it's like a different player."

She doesn't lack for work ethic and confidence.

I was surprised to see that she is at least a year older than most freshmen. I know I was 18 entering college and a few of my friends turned 19 late in that year but no one was 20.

Great article. Thanks for sharing. I just love that fact that her teammates, coaching staff, and trainers are seeing that she is competitive and willing to outwork anyone. That is just adding to the level of how competitive practice sessions are going to be. As a coach, that is what you want to see; players are in competition for minutes and roster spots. This is going to be a great season.

She is a year older than most freshmen because she repeated 7th grade when she transferred to Noble and Greenough. Their rule for admissions wouldn't allow transfers to enter as 8th graders. Either repeat 7th grade or else wait a year and enter as a HS freshman.

she may serve as the ideal designated zone buster...........her range is pretty much from the half court line in........ ;)
Great comment! I am really looking forward to how teams use the zone defense this coming season and especially against UConn. With moving back the 3 pt line and UConn having more shooters that also shoot from deep, it will be interesting to see if teams can survive with a zone or just clogging the paint.
