How random and unexpected has this years freshman class turned out to be?

Boatright had an incredibly bizarre recruitment, initially committing in middle school and changing his mind twice, Daniels apparently had one of the strangest recruitments in years and seemingly picks us out of the blue. And then this..... WOW
