According to my admittedly Australian calendar, it says April 29 and our first game is August 29 against Towson. Lots of people know the links between UConn and Towson, mostly notably their Head Coach (Rob Ambrose) being the former OC at UConn and he also landed some UConn transfers, Leon Kinnard (WR), who is still there, and Gerrard Sheppherd (WR) who has since graduated.
Last year Towson finished their season 7-4 (6-2 CAA) but were excluded from the FCS playoff which didn't make Coach Ambrose too happy.

Last year Towson played a very well regarded (and talk about draft pick laden) LSU squad relatively tight, losing 38-22. With the help of four turnovers, Towson put more points on the board against LSU than all but two of the teams LSU played that entire year.

Towson also finished their year with a 64-35 whooping of#7 ranked FCS New Hampshire. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that I don't think our team would have put 64 points on a nunnery last year if they had fielded a football team, so I'm kind of impressed.
Anyways, four months to go. I hope to hell it's an easy win but I have to admit, I think this game will be a hell of a lot harder than UMass was last year.
