I have no idea what kind of talent they have in Denmark, but Jabir is one heck of a basketball coach.

Just got back from Copenhagen.. Lots of tall blond gals. Don't know if they can play, but Jim will send them in the correct direction.

He will be well qualified to coach South Florida if Jose gets a better job, maybe at Duke or Tennessee.

I'm sure I read a statistic somewhere that Danes have the tallest average height of any country in the world. I guess that's a starting point of sorts.

Sounds like an interesting move for him - I wonder what his heritage is and if it is Scandinavian? It might be a situation where he sort of backed into it by being in the right place at the right time - he is just acting as 'interim coach' so it isn't necessarily a long term situation and a lot of foreign teams have US coaches - much larger pool of talent and depth of experience in the US than anywhere else.

Also sounds like he did a lot of reflection during his 4 months away from work. He probably hadn't taken more than a few weeks away from a job since college.

Well, he's coaching men. But if asked directions by tall blond gals who can play, hopefully he will point them toward Storrs.

Dutch have the tallest males (and their females are no slouches in that department), and Latvia the tallest women.

Jabir said he needed a change of scenery and I guess he wasn't kidding:

Jim Jabir back on court as a men’s coach in Denmark
Nice guy, good to great coach. Apparently , more money helps to make one healthier. I don't see how coaching men Pro's is less stressful--maybe to start. Male Egos are alike around the world and men in competition are the Ego-ist.
Maybe Jim is prep-ing for a Men's Pro job in the USA?? With heart conditions---it's the last job I'd recommend..

Rewatched the 2015 Dayton game and that got me to wondering whatever became of Mr Jabir - turns out the time on the norwegian wood, or was it danish, I forget, was a rather short lived affair lasting about four months. He won't need Jose's job at USf now that he's coaching his own sunny Florida team in lovely Boca Raton, Florida Atlantic University. I'm guessing the pressure on his heart to make it to a final four is probably a few pounds less here?

Yes, quite noticeable there. Even the Danish Queen is over 6 feet.

I used to work for a Dutch owned company. They are certainly very tall. The Dutch are also a generally hard-working, successful and frugal people, prompting the often used characterization, “The Dutch have deep pockets but short arms.”
