A true giant in the UConn athletics family, and a huge Husky ambassador to be sure. So much impact on UConn athletics after he had given up the men's basketball coaching job. Coach Penders is certainly not exaggerating his impact, presence, and friendship with himself and the UConn baseball program, not to mention all the other teams that make up a part of UConn athletics. Seeing the combination of Dee Rowe and Andy Baylock at events such as the UConn baseball alumni game was always a treat.
