Calls him a risk at higher than 14. Ouch. Hard to argue, however, with the underlying premise, which is that JL doesn't exude the kind of on-court commitment to each possession that it would take to overcome his lack of physical size and do well in the league.

Utah
Jeremy Lamb
Position: SG
Height: 6-foot-5
Weight: 185 pounds
Age: 19
School: UConn
Analysis: Lamb has elite talent, but his laid-back demeanor has given some scouts pause. Higher in the draft, he's a bit of a risk. But down here he's a good bargain for the Jazz as they continue to rebuild their backcourt.

Some would say, "Damn, we have to wait that long for him to be gone." Others think he should be a lottery pick.

Lack of size? He's 6'5 with a massive wing span - seems pretty ideal for a SG.

Also, Chad Forde is a bumbling idiot.

Didn't say "lack of height" or "lack of length."
Said "lack of size."
Think on it, get back to me, in that order.

I"m not sure what to make of Lamb's NBA prospects. As pointed out he's got good length and shot-making abilities, but struggles to create off the bounce against stronger and quicker guards. Creating your own shot is very important for 1s, 2s & 3s in particular. I think Lamb would fit best with a team that runs a lot screens for curl and shoot/drive type offense. Utah would seem like a good fit in that regard. Defensively, he's a liability and will remain so unless he can get stronger and work on his lateral foot quickness and defensive anticipation.

He could end up more a fit type of pick than a grade type pick for those above mentioned reason.

I can't see Utah taking Jeremy when they have Burks/Hayward at the SG/SF spots with Hayward able to play SG if needed. Not sure what they're doing with Harris @ PG as he seems to have regressed and he's making big money. This is a very weak PG draft, if Marshall comes out and he's there I can see them taking him, wouldn't shock me at all if a team reached on Teague if he comes out depending on how his workouts go. I think Cleveland can be a destination as they desparately need scoring on the wing to team with Irving, Irving would have much better assist numbers this year if he had talent on offense to play with. That would be a great situation for Lamb, Irving would be the alpha dog on that squad and he can set Lamb up for easy looks.

And yes, Ford(no e) is an idiot.

The draft positions will change depending on the combine (or whatever they call it) and , more importantly, individual workouts. This is a useless snapshot.

Lamb could be a great pro or he could be an average guard. Reminds me a bit in personality of Ben Gordon. Both really talented, but you don't know what you're going to get from night to night. (Admittedly small sample, but BG's last two games: 10 pts and 45 pts.) Both low key guys that at least outwardly don't have a real competitive fire.

Lamb's best bet is to be taken somehow by the Hornets.

14th pick is hardly an insult. Lamb's second season reminded me a lot of Josh Boone's second season. Boone was spectacular as a Freshman in 2004, as good a rebounder as we have ever had. The next year he was ill with mono early in the year and he was never the same.

His best bet is to spend the summer at a great camp and next year at Uconn figuring out how to break people down off the dribble and bulking up

To me, Terrence Jones is a perfect example of why you should stay until you are ready. He looks so comfortable and dominant know that his body has matured some and understands the game better.

Jeremy is still a year away, imho.

Lambs biggest weakness IMO, is that he just doesn't seem to have quickness afoot, especially that first step burst that lets you get by a defender, either with or without the ball. His bulk increased quite a bit from last year, but if he loses even more quickness as a result of getting bigger, he's going to have a tough time.

Generally "size" refers to things like height and length (along with strength), so nice try on being a wiseass.
