For point guard Sue Bird is 35 now and contemplating retirement. Diana Taurasi is 34, and she skipped the 2015 WNBA season to recover from the burnout of playing year-round in the U.S. and overseas. They agree the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro are surely the last time they'll play for Auriemma, who is 62. And all three of them are determined to give this last ride together the reverence -- and irreverence -- it deserves.

Sadly, some good things don't last forever. USA Basketball and/or Geno may not want him to continue. I think Sue, as much as I love her, will be too old in 4 years and maybe even in 2 years. Diana is younger. I can see her as a possible player in 2020. She's playing like the best player in the world again.
