If they fail to land as a plus one, they are a school in a small market, redundant to the SEC, who is in danger of falling back to where they were in the 90s and early 2000s (pre-Dabo) where they were a good, but not elite program... if they aren't an elite program, their value to the SEC becomes nil and minimal to the Big Ten (which would put their ceiling at the Big XXIV).
