Any update? I'm assuming we made the cut since he's such a big fan of KO

Xavier Rathan Mayes is down to Baylor, Connecticut, Alabama, Florida State, Kansas, Kentucky, Illinois, Memphis, Texas and UCLA.

Quite a few reasons to think we'll be there to the end with this kid. His dad lives in CT, he's friendly with Denham Brown, he raved about Kevin Ollie, and we were recruiting him even before he blew up this year.

Biggest concern is he might want to play with Andrew Wiggins. It's probably better for us if Wiggins and the Harrison twins all sign with Kentucky.

Top 10 Is Baylor, Uconn, Alabama, FSU, Kansas, Kentucky, Illinois, Memphis, Texas, UCLA no specific order.

Best case scenario for us would be Andrew and Aaron Harrison to commit to Kentucky along with James Young. Then they would have great guards. Then if Wiggins reclassifies and goes to Kentucky, which is going to happen, would put doubt in Xavier Rathan-Mayes head about playing time. If that happens we would be in great shape to land him.

And Kentucky would be in even better shape to win a NC

Xavier Rathan-Mayes planes to cut his list again in the very near future to a more manageable amount of schools and take visits to them schools. Kentucky looks to have already made that cut most likely because he is visiting their Friday unofficially.

Yeah but they are expected by many recruits and recruiting analysts to possibly get the best class ever in 2013 so a national championship is expected that year.

As long as Calipari is there, might as well accept that Kentucky's going to have a top 3 class every single year. The Brandon Knight/Terrance Jones class was #1 in the country too - did they win the championship that year?
