Just no the Memphis game please. We need them energetic and knowledgable for that game. It's huge.
 
I'm no Mike Patrick fan--I chuckled at the thread title, because who is? But I guess that was the joke--but I thought he wasn't *that* bad the other night. Then again, low expectations.

I can't believe Patrick used to call the women's title games. Shame on ESPN; that was so insulting. That would be pretty much be the only women's game I'd watch all season long and it was painfully obvious that Patrick was in the same boat.
 
Easy solution for me on this one, I will be at the XL Center
 
Patrick/Elmore is the #1 AAC pair. Bilas/McDonough are the #1 AAC pairing. Was announced before the season started. I'd expect Patrick to do the Memphis, SMU, Cincy and AAC Tournament games.
 
He's not quite as bad anymore somehow. Him w/ Vitale doing Dook games was the worst combination in the history of televised sports.
 
I want John Celestand back. What was that name he gave Napier? Octopus?

I agree. I think most announcers would have had the same reaction to the UCF big guy.

A 350-pound kid who hasn't scored all season injects some excitement into what was a blowout? Any announcer would have been overjoyed. I mean, we saw with Steve Lappas how announcers view one-sided games.
 
12 minutes in and this might be the worst play by play I have ever heard, Kara Lawson doesn't deserve this.
 
Duke is a better team than the team that lost to Syracuse earlier in the year, really Mike Patrick they've improved so much in the past 10 days. This guy is such a clown.
 
In one respect he's okay because he's generally very complimentary toward our program but I've counted 4 times on the first half where he called a player the wrong name. He never corrected himself on any mistake.

Bryan, I also thought during broadcasts that guys in the truck would bring to an announcer's attention when he makes a gaffe. The fact that nobody else even bothers to correct him is what makes it even more annoying. Would be nice for the rest of us to get paid so well to make so many mistakes. Did he just say USF was last in the world from 3?
 
Finally made a correction. Boat and bazz don't look that similar, do they?

During the women's game he would always mix and match first and last names. Has he called anyone Shabazz Giffey or Omar Napier?

In all sports? I'm not sure anyone can top Jon Miller/Joe Morgan for me

The interesting thing is as bad a year as Temple is having .
The crowd with be great tomorrow especially coming off the SMU upset.
That win improved the ratings for this game.
 
Did Patrick say something bad about Dook for once and they threw him off the Dook games? What did UConn do to deserve getting him all these games?
