Yes. Oregon St. and Washington were also first time participants in the FF.

To your point, Jordy, as I noted earlier:

All four #1 seeds have made it to the Final Four thrice (champion in bold):

• 1989 Auburn, Louisiana Tech, Maryland, Tennessee
• 2012 Baylor, Connecticut, Notre Dame, Stanford
• 2015 Connecticut, Maryland, Notre Dame, South Carolina

That's 3 times in 35 years, but 2 of them have been in the last 5 years (not counting this year yet). This may seem to work against your point, but really it shows that there are more often at least 4 "super teams". So, sure, the 2s are getting stronger, but the 1s are also. UConn's pulling them all along, just as Geno said.
