Five games into the regular season and many things are as they should be; 5-0 record, scoring 84 pts per game, shooting 50% overall, etc.... There are, however, some stats that are a surprise, (at least to me):

1. Saniya Chong has made more 3's than Stewie. (6 to 4)
2. Leading free throw shooter is Kiah Stokes at 91.7%. (11-12)
3. Brianna Banks is averaging 20.8 minutes per game and holding up well.
4. Stef is 3rd in blocks to Stewie (14) and Kiah (18), but her 12 equals all opponents combined.
5. W/out KML and Tuck, UConn is shooting only 28% from 3 pt range, but on shots inside the 3 arc they are at 60%.

One group of stats is not a surprise. Seniors Bria and Stef lead the team in minutes (172 & 162), lead the team in assists (25 & 23) and are 2nd and 3rd in points (82 & 64). Geno expects leadership from Seniors at UConn. Hartley and Dolson are filling that role beautifully....Go Huskies..!!

Edit - UcMiami, they were 43-98 or 43.9% from 3 last year in first 5 games, but Virgin Island tourny games were easier than Stanford, Maryland and Penn State....

Nice David.
I don't know the numbers but I am guessing Uconn is taking and making fewer 3s on average than last year and their percentage has to be way off.

Great Post- those are great statistics- relevant and very telling!!! I also have definite proof of KML's height- has that been established beyond reproach, or is this issue still in doubt. If still in doubt, could/would make a great thread!

4 players averaging double figures in scoring but KML isn't one of them. 2 players averaging more than 9 RPG.
